The J8-D2NK sensor is an M8 cylindrical inductive proximity switch with metal detection capabilities and a DC three-wire connection. It operates within a voltage range of DC10-30V and has a sensing distance of 2mm ±15%. This proximity switch works on the principle of eddy current induction, effectively detecting various metal objects with high precision and fast response frequency.
The switch generates an alternating magnetic field at the sensing head. When a metal object approaches the sensing area, eddy currents are induced within the metal, absorbing the oscillation energy and triggering the switch action.
